Dil Raju Apologizes For Dawat Comments In Nizamabad
Producer Dil Raju Apologizes for Dawat Comments for his controversial comments made at the Sankranthi ki Vastunnam event in Nizamabad. The comments, which mentioned aspects of Telangana culture, particularly about meat and toddy, were misinterpreted by some, leading to accusations that Dil Raju had insulted the region’s culture.
In response, the popular producer clarified his words through a heartfelt social media video, expressing his regret for any hurt caused.
Dil Raju explained that his intention was never to disrespect Telangana’s rich cultural heritage. “I have a deep connection with Nizamabad, which is why I chose to hold this event here,” he stated.
During my speech, I mentioned meat and toddy as important parts of Telangana’s culture. However, I later realized that some people were upset by my comments. I simply expressed that I missed the Dawat of Telangana culture, but my words were misunderstood and sparked unnecessary controversy. If my comments have hurt anyone, I sincerely apologize.
The producer further emphasized that his remarks were never meant to tarnish the culture of Telangana but were instead an attempt to express his fondness for its traditions.
Dil Raju also reminded the public of his contributions to the Telangana community through films like Fidaa and Balagam, which earned significant appreciation from the people of the state.
In addition to the apology, Dil Raju addressed the criticism he faced from political figures, particularly BRS leaders. He urged politicians not to involve him in their narratives, asserting his position as Chairman of FDC and his dedication to bridging the gap between the film industry and the government.
I want to help the film industry, he said, and I urge all political parties to keep me out of their agendas.
In the same event, host Sreemukhi also made comments about Lord Sriram and Lakshman being fictional characters, which further fueled the controversy surrounding the event.
