Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case: Actor to Be Discharged Today

Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is set to be discharged from Lilavati Hospital this Tuesday after undergoing surgery for multiple stab wounds. The actor was injured during a robbery attempt at his Bandra home in the early hours of January 16. Doctors have confirmed that while Saif is out of danger, he will need a few more days of rest at home to recover fully.

The shocking incident occurred at 2:15 am when a burglar broke into the actor’s residence, attacking a house help and subsequently stabbing Saif when he intervened. The actor sustained six stab wounds, two of which were close to his spine, making the situation critical. Doctors removed a 2.5-inch knife from one of the wounds during surgery and later moved Saif to the ICU for further monitoring.

The Mumbai Police have arrested the accused, identified as Mohammed Shehzad, from Thane. Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national and former national-level wrestling champion, had illegally entered India. During interrogation, Shehzad claimed he was unaware of the actor’s identity at the time of the attack.

Interestingly, a rickshaw driver who helped transport Saif to the hospital also stated that he didn’t recognize the Bollywood star. The actor’s elder son, Taimur, accompanied him to the police station following the incident.

At the time of the robbery, Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and other family members were at home. They were reportedly asleep when the attack unfolded. Kareena later ensured Saif received immediate medical attention and stayed by his side throughout the recovery process.

Doctors at Lilavati Hospital confirmed that Saif Ali Khan’s condition has stabilized. While he will be discharged today, he has been advised complete rest to avoid complications. His fans and well-wishers across the globe have been sending their prayers for his speedy recovery.
